During the Kochia Carnival (September 15 – october 21, 2012), visitors can immerse themselves in the park’s unique fall colors and walk amongst 36,000 red Kochia bushes and (4100000cosmoses) millions of cosmos flowers.
During 9/15 (Sat.) 10/21 (Sun.), “Come, See, and Touch!! Kochia carnival” will be held at Hitachi Seaside Park.
There is a “Miharashi no oka” (hill) in the park and many colored Kochia and Cosmos are coming out all over the hill. You can see a beautiful autumn view there.
For the duration of Kochia carnival, there are some interesting events around a “Miharashi no oka” like a stall “Ibaraki’s delicious spot” (you can taste Ibaraki’s food and special product) and some autumnal original desserts.
