Fibre Artist ANN NAZARETH…statment
I took a degree in constructed textiles as a mature student and was drawn to basket making techniques as a way to produce 3-D pieces.
Part of my work is informed by creation myths and folk tales. Stories duplicated in world cultures showing our similarities not our differences.
I enjoy meeting a challenge and believe all forms are possible, until proved otherwise. I’m not afraid to experiment because what doesn’t work usually acts as a catalyst for new ideas.
